Mission:The University of Utah Student Organization for Animal Rights (SOAR) was formed March 29, 1999. SOAR exists to promote vegetarian and vegan lifestyles at the University of Utah, to educate students, faculty, and staff about animal cruelty and ways to prevent it, to assist other groups and individuals working to abolish animal cruelty, and to do the above in a nonviolent, open, and respectful manner.
